While there may be a slowdown in travel bookings in many markets, it’s crucial to remind your clients how vital Manulife travel insurance products are and the coverage they provide to Canadian consumers right now, even for the larger percentage that are choosing to travel within Canada.
CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) is also a game-changer for those who might need to adjust their travel plans due to the current political climate.
Manulife’s PPP at 80% is one of the most forgiving coverages available. Find document attached to help you determine if the reason your client needs to cancel prior to departure can be claimed at 100% or under the CFAR benefit. On the reverse side, your client can determine if the medical condition they may need to seek attention for at destination would have coverage.
Don’t forget to use the 10-day right to examine to get your client’s Premium Protection Plan in place within the 72 hour window. This will give them up to 10 days to review the policy and come back to you to request a refund with no questions asked. We have found that 80% of the time, the client may not request a refund as they will not find a more robust plan in the marketplace. Or they did not do their homework and check their own coverage or other coverages. If they do come back to request for a refund, have them complete the waiver available in www.igoinsured.com under the tab Forms. This will protect you and your agency from any liability.
