I wanted to give a quick tip/update on the best way to use the referral desk for your out of province clients.
You can email the referral desk on behalf of your clients. We find this is the most efficient way to help your out of province clients get insurance. You can either cc your client on the email to the referral desk or you can just advise your client that you will be sending the email on their behalf to have a Manulife licensed advisor contact them to discuss insurance. The email is the same as on the referral slip travel_referral@manulife.ca
You only need to include the below information in the email for the referral team. Please do not attach or snip and clip a picture of the referral slip in the email. When the referral team receives the emails, they are transferred from the email to a system to be assigned to one of the referral agents to action. In this transfer process pictures embedded, or attachments do not cross over with the email. If you just add in your email the below information this will ensure that all information is transferred over. Also, very important to add your clients phone number as well as their email address (if they have one). If the referral team cannot reach your client by phone, they will leave a message (if the client has voicemail) then will follow-up with an email to the client.
